At Hof Ter Leeuwe in Zoutleeuw, horses receive the care they deserve every day. From collecting and freezing stallion semen and embryos to insemination, transplantation, ovum pick-up, and birth assistance: they always provide the most suitable approach, fully tailored to each animal.
From manual effort to a digital advantage
In order to optimize their working methods and serve their customers even better, Hof Ter Leeuwe wanted to thoroughly map out and digitize its processes. The old systems were outdated and offered too little support for reporting, inventory management, and invoicing.
That is why we developed a custom Single Page Application. To create the new application, we briefly delved into a detailed analysis of their old operations. How did they work now and how would they like to work? This allowed us to retain the relevant elements from their old system and supplement them with modern user-friendliness and advanced features.
We built a custom application that allows Hof Ter Leeuwe to manage the entire medical reproduction cycle for the horses in their care. The end product automates the inventory management of medicines and genetic material, manages the medical records for each horse, and automatically generates the necessary invoices. In addition, we linked the system to existing CRM tools for a smooth and efficient workflow. This ensures that all costs are billed correctly.
Bonus: in depth info for the techies
We created a Single Page Application (SPA), developed with the JavaScript framework Vue.js and Vuetify as the front-end solution. For the back-end, we used Express.js and Mongoose. Since our team always works according to DevOps principles, we also provided a version control system with an accompanying CI/CD pipeline. The application is hosted online on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), so that it is always easily accessible at a very low operational cost. The customer was already using Teamleader, which also makes it easy to set up a custom integration. This means that customers are automatically synchronized and Hof Ter Leeuwe can prepare invoices for dispatch fully automatically.
